The memory of the “Guanches” has survived to this day in an endless number of documents, data and testimonies despite the fires, the occultism and oblivion.
The Guanches had feared the Spanish domination in the period immediately after the conquest of Tenerife. We will see their hiding places, they were persecuted because of the uprising at the beginning of the last century - Civil war in Spain – and today with the growing Canaries independence movement, the flame has not been extinguished.
